22nd KIOSK Exhibition in Rennes

January 17 – March 30, 2008 / In the past seven years, KIOSK, an archive of independent publishing, has grown to include over 6000 publications from about 430 publishing projects worldwide. The Fillip Review is proud to participate among them at the 22nd exhibition of the archive at Galerie Art & Essai in Rennes, France. The institution is operated by the Rennes University, and will be hosted in collaboration with the Rennes Art Academy, where they will also have a small symposium.

The opening will be on Thursday, 24 January 2008, and the show there will last about 2 months.

Also, there will be a smaller presentation at the ICA Philadelphia, entitled Beyond Kiosk, with selections from the archive. Fillip will also be represented in this exhibition. The opening reception at the ICA will be on 17 January 2008, 6 pm, and the show there will run from 18 January through 30 March 2008.

About Fillip Events

Fillip presents ongoing public programming focussing on talks and facilitated discussions by emerging local and international artists and writers. These local events are complimented Fillip’s regular participation in international book fairs, exhibitions, and conferences.

Unless otherwise noted, events hosted by Fillip are free and open to the public. Space is typically limited, so visitors are encouraged to arrive early to guarantee a seat. Unless an alternate location is given, events are held at Fillip’s Vancouver studio at 305 Cambie Street. Please buzz or call 604 781 4417 for access.
